7.30 anchor Leigh Sales to host key conference sessions

We are pleased to announce that Leigh Sales, award winning author and journalist and host of ABC’s flagship current affairs program 7.30, has been confirmed as a key facilitator for the National Housing Conference in Sydney.

A Walkley award winner, Ms Sales will play a key role on the closing day of #NHCSydney facilitating two sessions, including the final major plenary session. Details of each of these sessions will be released shortly.

Leigh has held a variety of roles while with the ABC. From 2006 to 2008, she was the network’s National Security Correspondent and from 2001 to 2005, Washington Correspondent, covering the momentous years after the September 11 terrorist attacks.

Leigh won her Walkley award in 2005 for her coverage of issues surrounding Guantanamo Bay and was also nominated for her on-the-ground reporting of Hurricane Katrina.

Her interrogative , ‘take no prisoners’ style of questioning and wealth of experience as the anchor on both 7.30 and previously on Lateline, makes her an ideal facilitator to encourage debate and discourse on pivotal housing policy issues.
