Considering registering for the National Housing Conference but not sure who will be there? Here’s an overview of just who normally attends the NHC, based on our last conference in Perth in 2015.
We’re a diverse bunch in the social/affordable housing and homelessness sectors – and our delegate breakdown demonstrates the importance of cross sectoral representation from government policy makers (26%), housing practitioners (25%), NFP peak groups (28%) and the private sector (13% and growing!). It is this collaboration that is critical to driving real change and creating better housing outcomes for Australians.
The conference also enjoys a truly national audience – more than 70% of delegates at our Perth conference came from outside of WA. Collaborating with colleagues from across Australia is a great way to learn about best practice, share ideas and build your networks with colleagues facing similar challenges right around the country. We also attract a small portion of international delegates, eager to learn from us, and tell us what they’re doing at home that we might be able to adopt here.
This year, we’re expecting up to 1000 delegates from a diverse range of backgrounds and we encourage you to join us in Sydney.
