The conference theme for 2019 is Housing future communities. The theme is intended to be broad in scope with a focus on long-term impact and goals. The program will endeavour to include the broad range of communities affected by the many housing challenges we face as a nation.
Program streams allow the conference to be tailored to delegates’ requirements and enable them to engage with the subject matter in the way that is best suited to their interests.
The streams of specific interest under Housing future communities will be:
Highlighting examples of best practice nationally and internationally, as well as the research that has made a difference.
Informing policy makers with the latest research and exploring policy development pathways.
Fostering partnerships in practice, across sectors, research and all levels of government.
Focussing on the unique lived experiences of Australia’s diverse communities, with special attention towards Indigenous housing challenges and opportunities in the NT and nation-wide.
For the first time, the program will be spread across four days. This will allow more time for networking, optional site tours and satellite events. Review the program snapshot for an overview of the conference structure. Submit an abstract to contribute to the program as it forms.
