Four Nations: Perspectives from Ireland, New Zealand, Canada and Australia

Three international speakers will join our final plenary session on Friday 30 August in what is sure to be a fascinating examination of housing policies from around the world. What can Australia learn from likeminded countries when it comes to national approaches to housing our communities? Canada has a similar federated system of government and a national strategy, Ireland has responded to the Global Financial Crisis with the ambitious ‘Rebuilding Ireland’ program and New Zealand is embarking on a Wellbeing Budget, putting vulnerable people at its centre. In this significant international plenary panel, hear about each country’s national approach to housing before we examine lessons to be learned for Australia.
