 Andy Denniss

Following a social housing career in the UK which started in 1994 Andy came to Australia in 2008 to join the Brisbane Housing Company. He has been the Business Development Manager for Churches of Christ Housing Services Limited since 2013

Andy has been responsible for introducing and developing many innovative housing projects including provisions for homeless young people, specialised disability accommodation under the National Disability Insurance Scheme and, in partnership with the Queensland government, he has overseen affordable housing developments for over 55’s who were under-occupying public housing.

Andy has built strong relationships at all levels of government and represented the organisation in negotiations for over $80 million of capital investment, including the Youth CONNECT Social Benefit Bond, which is the first of its kind in the world to address the needs of young people leaving out-of-home-care.
