Carol Croce has over 45 years’ experience in the not-for-profit community sector in Australia and the United State, nearly half of which were in executive management positions. Carol has 18 years’ experience working in the Australian housing sector and is a recognised and respected expert in this field. She was the Executive Director of the Community Housing Federation of Australia (CHFA), the national industry body representing community housing providers nationwide which has transitioned into the Community Housing Industry Association (CHIA). Carol is now the Director of her own consulting business, Carol Croce Consulting. Her clients include the National Affordable Housing Providers, the national industry body representing NRAS providers.
Carol has an extensive background in federal housing policy, including programs such as the National Rental Affordability Scheme, the Nation Building Social Housing initiative, the National Affordable Housing Agreement and priority issues for the community housing sector such as national regulation and tax treatment of affordable housing.
Carol was an active member of several housing forums and committee committees including: Ministerial Advisory Committee on Social Housing and Housing Assistance, the National Affordable Housing Summit Group, AHURI Research Panel, the Consultative Charities Committee of the ATO, and Australians for Affordable Housing. She is a current member of the Management Committee for Havelock Housing Association in Canberra.
