Project & Development Manager, Women's Property Initiatives

 Caroline Larcher

Caroline has worked for the past 10 years as the Project and Development Manager for Women’s Property Initiatives, a Victorian community housing organization that builds and manages long-term affordable rental housing for low-income women and children.

Caroline has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering and a Master of Science (Water & Environmental Management).

She has previously worked as a Structural Engineer in Australia, England and Hong Kong, predominantly on large commercial, health and education projects.

Caroline also spent a number of years as shelter coordinator for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Chechnya, Liberia and East Timor.

Her role at Women’s Property Initiatives involves initiating new housing projects, sourcing funding, managing design, planning and construction, project reporting and budget control. WPI is always seeking to innovate, to highlight housing issues affecting a wide variety of low-income women and to respond by developing a range of affordable housing options.
