 Darren  Smith

Darren Smith is Palawa Trowerna from the Trawlwoolway clan of the Pyemairrenner people in Tasmania and is CEO of Aboriginal Housing Victoria (AHV). He has qualifications in Engineering, Law and Public Policy. Darren has held executive positions at AHV since 2014 including as Director of Strategy and Performance where AHV was successful in its submission for Housing Association registration in 2015. Prior to his time at AHV, Darren most recently worked in policy roles for the Victorian Government in Building Policy for the Department of Transport, Planning and Local Infrastructure and in the former Aboriginal Affairs Victoria.
