 Janet  Chappell

Janet is the Housing Policy Manager at Landcom, the NSW Government’s land and property development organisation.

She headed up research, development and adoption of Landcom’s housing affordability and diversity policy and developed a set of Housing Indicator tools to understand current and forecast local housing need.

She has also collaborated with academics from multiple disciplines on several innovative urban research projects in collaboration with government agencies and industry partners, as part of the Landcom University Round Table.

Janet’s background is architecture and urban design, having worked in private consulting in Melbourne and Sydney before working at the former NSW Urban Design Advisory Service.

Prior to joining Landcom Janet worked at the NSW Department of Planning as part of the team preparing three metropolitan strategies for Sydney.
