 Jason Kara

Jason is a public administration professional with more than 16 years experience in senior roles in the NSW public service, the not-for-profit sector and private enterprise.

Jason is currently the Director of Housing Strategy at the Department of Family and Community Services NSW (FACS). This area is responsible for agreeing cost, client and community outcomes and developing improvement strategies for social and affordable housing, and homelessness. Current priority areas include: Social Housing; Homelessness; Private Market Assistance; the National Housing and Homelessness Agreement and Staying Home, Leaving Violence.

Jason’s previous roles in FACS related to strategic planning, budget development and management. He also managed the Department’s Enterprise Program Management Office.
