 Jessemy  Stone

Jessemy Stone is the Director of Housing Programs for the Tasmanian Government. She has worked in the state government housing sector since 2008 and has been influential in the design and implementation of Tasmania’s housing reform agenda, including new supply under the National Rental Affordability Scheme and the Nation Building Economic Stimulus Package; stock transfer to community housing organisations under Better Housing Futures; service integration under Housing Connect; and consolidation of an agreed direction under Tasmania’s Affordable Housing Strategy 2015-25 and its first four-year Action Plan 2015-19.

Most recently, Jessemy is working on the next phase of the Action Plan, which will build on the partnerships between government and the community and private sectors to deliver new supply and housing assistance. Jessemy is continuing her efforts to redesign Tasmania’s housing system to be more efficient and effective and improve access into safe, affordable and secure homes for vulnerable Tasmanians.
