 Jim Allen

Jim is a Director of SEARMS Aboriginal Corporation with a passion for social justice and giving a voice to the marginalised. This year he was also elected to the Aboriginal Community Housing Industry Association (NSW) board, the fledging peak body for Aboriginal housing issues in NSW.

He currently manages the Murra Mia Tenant Advice and Advocacy Service which assists tenants and communities with their dealings with landlords and the Consumer Traders and Tenancy Tribunal.

His passion to represent the needs of the disadvantaged and is a voice for people in need, whatever their background or social standing, has seen him serves terms as an active member of the Housing Appeals Committee (HAC); a former Director of the NSW Aboriginal Housing Office Board; and, former Chairperson of Batemans Bay Local Aboriginal Land Council.
