 Kathryn Proft

Kathryn is a Senior Policy Officer at the Australian Human Rights Commission, working across projects on older women’s risk of homelessness and elder abuse. ln this role, Kathryn has been working with the Age Discrimination Commissioner to raise awareness of, and encourage responses to, older women’s risk of homelessness.

Currently on a secondment from the federal Department of Health, Kathryn has previously worked in aged care and disability policy areas. She has a strong interest in developing evidence-based and practical responses to health and social issues arising in the context of an ageing population. Kathryn holds a Masters in Exercise Physiology and is currently undertaking a Masters in Public Policy.
