 Marion  Bennett

Marion has had a long career in the NSW Government advising on social policy, natural resources reforms, governance and performance improvement. As Executive Director of Housing Policy and Homelessness in the Department of Family and Community Services, she led housing and homelessness policy, inter-governmental negotiations, research, and delivery of affordable housing and homelessness programs. In 2015, she joined Mission Australia as Head of Policy & Advocacy, aiming to bring together the community, government and private sectors to advance the lives of vulnerable people. She now drives the continuous improvement and growth of evidence-based and strategically-aligned services in Mission Australia, through contract management, quality programs, business systems, learning communities, impact measurement, data analysis and service design and development. Marion holds an Arts Honours Degree and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
