 Rachel Hornsby

In 2016 Rachel established Hornsby & Co. – a boutique consultancy that works with the local government, community housing, and development sectors to broker and facilitate Affordable Housing.

Prior to that Rachel Hornsby had more than 15 years’ experience working in the local government and community housing sectors in Australia and New Zealand. This included Director of Planning and Development at the City of Kingston (Melbourne), and Group Manager of Planning and Environment at South Wairarapa District Council (New Zealand) along with roles at Housing Choices Australia (Melbourne, Tasmania, South Australia) and Evolve Housing (Parramatta, Sydney).

In 2018 Rachel Hornsby graduated with distinction from a Master of Property at RMIT University and has returned to the University this semester to lecture an undergraduate property course.

Rachel has a post-graduate Diploma in Developing Social Housing Projects from Erasmus University in the Netherlands completed at the Rotterdam Campus in 2016. Rachel also has a Bachelor Science with Honours and a Bachelor Arts from Monash University.
