 Vesna  Haracic

Vesna has worked with Salisbury Council for 16 years and in her current role Manager, Community Health and Wellbeing for last 4 years.  Vesna oversees for the implementation of Age friendly Salisbury Strategy, the Abilities and Inclusion Strategic Plan, Intercultural Strategy, delivery of the Commonwealth Home Support Programs, Access and Inclusion, several NDIS programs plus has responsibility for the management of volunteers across Council.

Vesna’s background is in working with disadvantaged people within a Community Development model. She has a Master of Business Administration.   She has also a board member of the Multicultural Aged Care.

Her work has involved supporting people achieve their potential and participate with dignity in the community. In her current role Vesna has developed wide knowledge of ageing issues and is committed to ensuring that older people are central to decision that impact their lives.  She has driven the Council’s pursuit of equity of access for older people with a particularly focused on residents from diverse cultural communities.
