Are you taking abstracts?

The Call for Abstracts has now closed. Those that have submitted an abstract will be advised of the outcome mid-April.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Cancellations received in writing (events@ahuri.edu.au) to AHURI before Monday 11 September 2023 will be accepted and all fees refunded less an administrative fee of AUD $100. Click here to read the terms and conditions.

Do you have group discounts?

For bookings for three or more people there is a 10% discount off the registraiton fee - the conference dinner is excluded from this discount. The booking must be done at the one time and the discount is not avaliable retrospectively.

Does everyone in my group booking have to be from the same organisation?

Group bookings can include people from the same organisations but different offices, or different organisations, as long as it’s three or more booked at the one-time to receive the discount. Registrations can also be a mixture of in-person and virtual.

When do registrations close?

Super Saver rates close at 11.59pm on Sunday 30 April 2023Early bird registrations are available until Friday, 30 June 2023. Standard in-person registrations close Sunday, 24 September 2023 and Standard Virtual registrations at 11.59pm, Sunday 8 October 2023.

What's included in the in-person registration?

Full in-person registration gives you access to all sessions, morning/afternoon tea and lunch each day, the Welcome Reception and Closing Networking Drinks. You also have access to all recordings (see Virtual registration for details). 

If I miss sessions, can I still view them?

If you have registered as a Virtual Attendee then yes. Use the login details you used for the Conference as the portal is still open for all attendees. If attending in-person and the session is recorded, yes you will be able to view afterwards.

When will the recordings be available?

We are working on the recordings of the sessions that are marked as virtual in the program. Please bear with us as we upload them in to the conference portal. We will aim to have the majority, if not all available from Wednesday 18 October. The recordings are available exclusively for delegates until end of December 2023.

How can I access the presentations?

Where a speaker uses a PowerPoint presentation, this will be included in the online conference portal for delegates to access. If attending for one day only, you will only be able to access the presentations that relate to the day of your registration e.g. if you have a Tuesday only registration, you will only see Tuesyay's presentations (and recordings).

What's included in the in-person registration?

Full in-person registration gives you access to all sessions, morning/afternoon tea and lunch each day, the Welcome Reception and Closing Networking Drinks. You also have access to all recordings (see Virtual registration for details). 

What's included in the virtual registration?

All plenary and major concurrent sessions, three concurrent sessions in each block and the Think Tank sessions will be virtual. Click here to see the program. We will advise closer to the conference which concurrent sessions will be virtual. All virtual sessions will be recorded and available to delegates exclusively for three months after the conference before the recordings are made public.

When will I receive my conference virtual login information?

Your virtual conference login details will be sent in a separate email a few days before the conference and again at least one hour before the start of the conference.

When will I receive my ticket and other details?

Conference tickets will be sent out to in-person delegates on Friday 6 October. A separate email with a link to the NHC 2023 SCGH conference portal and other pre-conference information will be sent to all delegates on Friday 6 October, we will send these emails again on Monday 9 October. Emails will be sent to the email address that was provided when the registration was activated.

Is the ahi: Brighter Future Awards dinner part of NHC?

The ahi: Brighter Future Awards - Gala Dinner is a separate event run by the Australasian Housing Institute and is not included in the cost of NHC registrations. The Award Dinner is being held at BCEC on Tuesday 10 October and you can find details of the dinner by clicking here

Do I need special software to attend virtually?

No, you will not need any special software. You can participate in the conference over your preferred browser, although for a laptop it is recommended you use Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge. On any mobile device, use your preferred web browser.

Do you have group discounts?

For bookings for three or more people there is a 10% discount off the registration fee. This discount does not apply to the conference dinner. Are we able to help promote the Conference?

Special requirements

If you have any special requirements, disability, and/or dietary restrictions that we may address to make your participation at our events more enjoyable, please do let us know when registering. If you did not include these details when registering, please email our events team at events@ahuri.edu.au as soon as possible to let them know so they can make the necessary arrangements.

How do I activate my registration?

We are using a two-step registration process. The first step is to purchase a registration, such as Super Saver In-Person or Early Bird Virtual. Once you have paid for your registration, you will receive an email with a link and code and you will be asked to add all your details. For group bookings, you can purchase the required number of registrations and then provide the link to each individual in your group to use to complete their own details. If paying by invoice, the link won't be sent to you until payment is received.

Do you have concession registration?

Yes there is a Concession registration for anyone holding a Commonwealth Health Care Card, Pension Card or who is a full time student.  You will be required to provide a copy of the card when registering at the conference.

How do I enter my details?

We are using a two-step registration process. The first step is to purchase a registration, such as Super Saver In-Person or Early Bird Virtual. The second step is called activating your registration. You will be sent an email with a link and code to activate your registration, this where you enter all your contact details, dietary requirements, any special requirements,and select the social events you wish to attend.

If I purchase an in-person registration, can I attend virtually?

Yes, all in-person delegates will have access to the online conference portal and be able to view the virtual sessions if you can't make it. All these sessions are being recorded and will be avaliable on demand afterwards.

Is the conference dinner included in the registration cost?

The Indigenous Business Australia NHC23 Conference Dinner is a separate cost to the conference registration. The dinner has now sold out.

Are there any social events included in my registration?

There are two social events included in the full conference in-person registrations, and one for Tuesday only and one for Thursday only. On Tuesday 10 October there is the Community Housing Limited Welcome Reception being held in the Exhibition Precinct at BCEC. Also included is the Closing Networking Drinks on Thursday 12 October in the Plaza Terrace Room at BCEC.  You need to book in when activating your registration.

Can my registration be used by multiple people?

Unfortunately you cannot share your registration with others.

Is there a one-day concession registration?

Concession registration can only be accessed for attending the full conference.

Can I transfer my registration?

Yes you can and the first transfer is free, any subsequent changes will include a $100 admin fee. Click here to read the terms and conditions.

Can I ask questions as a virtual attendee?

Yes, there will be live Q&A options during the conference sessions.  The session facilitator may not ask every question as time may not permit, and they may combine a few questions that have the same theme.

Will I be able to access the presentations?

You will be able to access the PowerPoint presentations for all sessions where they were used. These will be in the online platform that can be accessed by all virtual delegates and people attending in-person. For those attending one day, you will be able to access the presentations for only the day you're attending.

What if I don't feel well on the day?

If you don’t feel well on the day of, or the immediate days before the conference, please stay home. You can choose to transfer your registration to online or you can transfer to a colleague - please email events@ahuri.edu.au. Unfortunately no refunds will be issued after 11 September.

Will the recordings be available to the public?

The recordings of sessions will be exclusively available to NHC23 delegates for three months after the conference.  After this time, they will be publicly available on our YouTube page.

Are you taking abstracts?

The Call for Abstracts has now closed. We received over 210 abstracts and the committee has had a challenge bringing the number down to fit into the program. If you have submitted an abstract, you should have received a response, please check junk/spam in case it dropped into there.
